CHANGE THE TRAJECTORY OF YOUR STUDENT’S LIFE
All students participate in either the String Orchestra, Band, Choir, or a general music education curriculum focusing on theory and history. Many students choose to participate in all three avenues of Soulsville’s music education offerings. Our music offerings are based on proof that musical education greatly enhances general education. TSCS’ partnership with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra has afforded students special opportunities, including small group instruction, playing alongside the professionals on stage, performing for former First Lady Barbara Bush, and attending rehearsals and concerts with world-renowned musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma.
We also have a unique partnership with the Stax Music Academy. Several Soulsville students engage in their top-of-class, after-school programming.
