The Soulsville College and Alumni Support Team (TSCS CAST) works with each student and family, individually, so that each student has access to a post-secondary pathway that promotes a life of independence, choice, and fulfillment. TSCS CAST consists of Summer Growth Experiences (SGEs), Junior Seminars, Senior Seminars, and Alumni Support.
To achieve our mission of success in college and life, our students must experience settings outside our school. The ability to adapt to other environments, expectations, and structures is a valuable skill we want each student to have before graduating. Every rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grader is required to complete a Summer Growth Experience, which can include local or national jobs, internships, research programs, college programs, boarding schools, and travel to places like New England, Idaho, and Chile.
9th-11th grade students work with advisors to find excellent summer camp, program, internship, or job shadow.
11th-grade students have ACT and post-secondary built into their schedule.
12th-grade students receive weekly one-on-one advising in the post-secondary application and matching process.
All TSCS graduates have an Alumni Support counselor to help with post-secondary enrollment and persistence, as well as support for well-being and access to community resources.
